Managing holiday credit card debt

Many Americans will start the new year with at least some debt accrued from the holiday season. Tennessee residents know that carrying credit card debt on an ongoing basis is not a positive financial position in which to be. Of course it cannot always be helped. Thankfully, there are several ways to manage credit debt, including debt counseling and Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Swim club files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

A swim club has closed its doors and filed for bankruptcy, according to business news local to the club. Tennessee residents may be aware that a rising number of swim clubs across the nation are experiencing financial difficulties, so this may not be a surprise. Tenafly Swim Club's management confirmed the business filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Dec. 14.

Arms dealer files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

A prominent American arms dealer is closing its doors following financial troubles that proved insurmountable to the company. Tennessee residents may be familiar with Samco Global Arms, which maintains an enormous stockpile of weapons and ammunition in an out-of-state warehouse. That warehouse will be shuttered as the Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing goes through.

Energy company files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection

A downturn in the oil and natural gas industries has hit some companies harder than others. Tennessee residents in the field will understand how fickle these industries can be, and how much debt can be accrued in struggling to keep a company afloat. Trinity Energy Solutions is one example, having filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection recently.

Nanotech company files for Chapter 7

A once-promising technological start up company has closed its doors, according to local business news. Tech savvy Tennessee residents might recognize the name SouthWest NanoTechnologies, which filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Nov. 24. Its founder, who is no longer associated with the company, could not provide insight as to why the company has sought this solution.
